Hello everyone. If you're surprised to be reading a new blog post from me right now, believe me, I am even more surprised that I am here at home writing it!
As I'm sure many of you have experienced before, life does not always go as we plan it. "Good" things we want to do, sometimes, end up not being "God" things. Sometimes we have to walk away from something good because we know we just aren't supposed to be there anymore. That is what has happened in my situation. After two months touring with the Asante Choir from Uganda, I have had to return home due to some unfortunate workplace issues. Of course this isn't what I had planned and I don't know what is going to happen next, but I know my future is in God's hands. For now life is going to be a little confusing, frustrating, and maybe stressful, but it will all be ok eventually. It is as the children sing in the song below, "Greater is the one living inside of me than he who is living in the world!"
Also, since I am home and going back to work soon (if I can find a teaching job), I may have an exciting Compassion-related opportunity in this coming year!
Please keep the choir and the rest of the team in your prayers. They will be touring Western Canada until June.
